Meet Your Tutor
- Hi, I'm Joy Phelon, a biotechnology professional with over sevenyears of experience. I specialize in creating hands-on, engaging lessons that make learning exciting for young students. My goal is to provide personalized support that helps children build skills, confidence, and a love for learning.
- Through STEM and Stories, I offer tutoring that aligns with state and national academic standards, including ACAP (Alabama Comprehensive Assessment Program) and NGSS (Next Generation Science Standards). I am also currently completing my TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) certification to expand my ability to support ESL learners.
- As a proud member of ProLiteracy, I am dedicated to advancing literacy and empowering learners.
