Some lizards, called geckos, can stick to walls and ceilings without glue, tape, or suction cups! Now look down at your hands. Try pressing them against a wall—do you stick? Nope; however, geckos can, but how? NASA scientists asked the same question. How can some animals stick to surfaces while humans can’t? That question led them to study geckos, and now, they’re using gecko feet to build space inventions! Imagine that—tiny lizards inspiring big discoveries in space!
Even small things can make a BIG difference just by being themselves. You don’t have to wait to grow up, get older, or become someone else to be important.
Be YOU - today!

Geckos are tiny lizards that can climb walls! They have millions of tiny hairs on their feet (called setae—say it like SEE-tuh). These hairs create a special grip that lets them stick to walls!
